"big, big problem"

Yesterday one of my students slowly, with his head down, walked up to me and said, "Miss Clancy, I have big, big problem."  I asked him what his big problem was, and he explained this to me.  "I am from Israel and not see snow flow down ever.  Now snow flow down and I am not go outside because lessons."

Needless to say... we went outside!  It was so great to see the smile on his face when I told him to go get his jacket and hat.  When he came back into the classroom with his snow gear-- I laughed.  He looked like the kid in A Christmas Story, but he was BEAMING!

Four of us went outside for a short while and played in the snow.  Upon returning to the classroom, the students wrote about their experience.  I will have to upload his story sometime-- too cute!!
